Hand carved and painted Ostara Eostre pendant necklace.

Ostara (or Eostre) is the ancient Germanic goddess of spring, dawn, and renewal. Her name is linked to the modern celebration of Easter, and she symbolizes fertility, rebirth, and the return of light after winter. She is often associated with hares, eggs, and blooming flowers—symbols of new life.

The spring equinox, also called Ostara in pagan traditions, marks a time of balance when day and night are equal, celebrating the awakening of the earth. Some believe that early Christian Easter traditions, like the Easter bunny and eggs, stem from older pagan customs honoring Eostre.
